Plastic Surgeon Unveils Non-Surgical Nose Job

Posted by Cosmetic Surgery Review on May 24, 2010

Dr. Alexander Rivkin , an L.A.-based cosmetic surgeon, has revealed his innovative techniques for a non-surgical nose job procedure in the May 2010 issue of ELLE Magazine, and currently offers this permanent procedure at his L.A. office.

Also known as the 15-Minute Rhinoplasty procedure, the non-surgical nose job involves injecting a series of Botox and dermal filler injections around the nose to smooth bumps, lift drooping tips and create more definition for a sculpted appearance.

Dr. Rivkin founded the procedure in 2004, and has performed over 1,000 non-surgical nose jobs to date. He has also trained other surgeons on how to perform this technique, and has been featured on The Tyra Bank Show, and the TODAY Show to talk about his work.

The procedure begins with a topical anesthetic to the treatment area. Dr. Rivkin then injects Restylane and Radiesse – two of the most popular injectable fillers on the market – into the depressions of the nose to create a smoother, sharper appearance and to create the perfect angles. Dr. Rivkin is able to restore symmetry to the nose, and create a more balanced appearance simply by using different types of dermal fillers.

Most people can enjoy the results of the treatment for 8 to 12 months, depending on type of filler used. For those who want permanent results, Artefill may be a better option. Artefill is different from other fillers, because it contains Lucite spheres suspended in collagen. These spheres do not dissolve when injected into the tissues, so the patient can enjoy long-lasting results. In most cases, Artefill lasts for up to 15 years.

Other benefits of using fillers instead of undergoing plastic surgery include minimal downtime, reduced risk of pain and swelling, and minimal bruising. Most people don’t even need to wear any type of supportive bandages to promote the healing process.
