Jane Fonda Says She’s Done with Plastic Surgery

Posted by Cosmetic Surgery Review on December 11, 2009

Jane Fonda has served as an icon of fitness and beauty for several decades and the talented actress is known to have had several procedures to maintain her youthful looks. The star is now 71 years old and recently told a European magazine that she is swearing off plastic surgery for good. She has decided that she will no longer be going under the knife as she approaches her eighth decade, and credits her genes, healthy lifestyle and healthy sex life for keeping her looking young.

Fonda states, “When it comes to looking good I owe 30 percent to sports and nutrition, 30 percent to genes, 30 percent to good sex and the remaining 10 percent is thanks to my plastic surgeon.” (Source:

According to the Plastic Surgery Channel, Fonda has had breast augmentation, a face lift and several other anti aging procedures to preserve her fresh-faced look and maintain her firm and toned body. In 2007, she interviewed with Glamour Magazine, encouraging women to embrace the aging process. In this interview, she also pointed out that it’s difficult to embrace the aging process when you’re in the public eye, but she officially swore off more surgery at the age of 69.

Jane Fonda isn’t the only aging celebrity who has undergone several cosmetic procedures over her lifetime. Teri Hatcher, Demi Moore, and Cindy Crawford have all undergone a wide range of procedures including Botox, liposuction, breast augmentation and other anti aging procedures. Still, there are a handful of Hollywood stars that have managed to maintain their youthful looks without cosmetic intervention. At the top of the list are: Sharon Stone, Marisa Tomei, Andie MacDowell, Michelle Pfeiffer, Loni Anderson, Sheryl Crow and Kristin Davis. These actresses commit themselves to working out regularly and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
