Inauguration Week Prompts Quickie Cosmetic Surgery Fixes

Posted by Cosmetic Surgery Review on January 21, 2009

450px-inaugurationThis week’s Presidential Inauguration festivities have prompted more than patriotism across the country.

Hundreds of people have been heading to the local cosmetic surgeon’s office to freshen up their look for the week of partying and revelries surrounding the inauguration.

In fact, cosmetic surgeons in Washington, DC recently reported a surge in demand for Botox injections, microdermabrasion and other quickie cosmetic fixes for those who wanted to look their best for inauguration night and other events scheduled for this weekend.

USA Today reports that demand for Perlane and Restylane nearly tripled for a cosmetic surgeon in the D.C. area, and that inauguration events prompted many to finally get their facial rejuvenation procedure of choice. Both fillers help to downplay wrinkles, tighten up sagging skin and create a rejuvenated, more youthful appearance. Restylane can also be used as a lip-plumping treatment, helping to create fuller, natural-looking lips while eliminating lines and wrinkles.

Black-tie events, galas and parties this Inauguration Week have prompted many people to focus on looking their best this season with a low-stress, low-cost, mini makeover.

Non-invasive and minimally-invasive procedures have become increasingly popular in recent months as more people track down procedures that won’t take their toll on the wallet.  The slowing economy and tighter personal budgets mean many are willing to pay a fraction of the cost of surgery for similar results; chemical peels, Botox injections, dermal fillers, mini-liposuction and intense pulsed light (IPL) treatments are just a few alternatives to facelift surgery and other procedures  – and all can be performed with little or no anesthesia, while delivering dramatic results.

Results can be seen almost immediately, and the treatments require little downtime and involve little or no pain.  These treatments continue to be a top choice for those who want to get rid of wrinkles or brighten up tired-looking skin before a big event.
