It is really important to point out that the doses of the protein/active ingredient in Botox vary widely depending upon the indication for use. Therapeutic treatments are very different from cosmetic treatments in terms of dosing (ie 20-30 units compared to hundreds) and likelihood of any sort of complication. It is unfortunate that cosmetic applications of this product are still subject to the same label warnings. Clients/ patients need to understand the difference between these treatments to avoid misunderstanding of the risks.

Programs like these are so important out there today; hopefully it will help encourage folks to continue seeing legitimate physician practices that charge an average fee for botox and discourage them from seeking cheap alternatives or treatment from inexperienced injectors out there. I have fixed more bad Botox in our office from a variety of outside settings/circumstances in the past month than ever before. Thanks allergan.

What a bunch of bunk. I have had a tummy tuck, face lift and eye lift surgery by a prestigious plastic surgeon in Costa Rica, Dr. Alejandro Lev. The hospital where the surgery was performed, Cima San Jose, is Joint Commission Internation accredited. They had exactly the same standards that I would have expected in the US. Extraordinarily clean facilities, all practiced universal precautions. As someone who has worked in the health care field for well over 30 years, I would not have come here if it wasn’t the best. Do your own research. These medical journals have one thing in common, they are out to protect their own physician members.

Cartilage loss, joint damage and other health problems are a serious problem for obese patients, but there are several options available for reducing body weight and achieving a better state of health. <– well..there are tons of these nowadays, and yet the number of the actual obese person keep raising every year..hmm this is so sad. btw thx for the post.

I very much admire Joan Rivers. I think she is one the smartest women around and one hell of a survivor. She looks great and is full of energy and still very successful “out there’ in business. She is amazing!!! I want to know who her Plastic man was….it’s time for me to be tweeked for the first time….I’m over 50, in great shape and health work out every day, etc. but in the last 2 years, lost my parents and 3 cousins, job, and of course the downturn in the market…the stress has taken a toll. Joan, what do you suggest or who do you suggest, I have a home near NY and a home in CA so I can do either coast….who’s the best..for some face tweeks, don’t need much, maybe a peel or brow lift, chin, etc is good….just looking tired.
That’s my story…..any input.
